That sucks! I was lucky with the 05 (which was in about the same condition as your Monte). I got hit in a parking lot on the passengers side fender and got my fender, hood and bumper replaced. My insurance company had to fight to get my deductible back though.

Ya I felt lucky that the lady was nice and admitted everything. I received a call from her insurance person that same afternoon stating they were going to cover it.

Amy. I actually thought of your accident when all this was happening lol, since I remember from what you posted was on private property.

I know you are in a rush for the car show, but when you go to collect your car DO NOT take it if it is not up to your standards.

if you take the car and then after the show realize that the silvers don't match correctly (very hard to blend silver correctly) then you will have to pay out of pocket to fix it afterwards. You take the car and you assume all responsibility. Any gripes with the work HAVE to be before you take the car.

Sorry to hear your Monte got hit. Perfect excuse to get the hood with the scoop on it. The most expensive part is going to be the grill/bumpercover. Hope they do a good job matching the color.

Thanks all. The place Im going is very reputable, they did the repair to my rear bumper when someone reared me LOL. They do all sorts of custom work. Since im not paying for anything the hood will probably just stay stock (If I was paying for it I more or less would change to an aftermarket hood). The only thing I might change is to have the teeth on the front bumper painted black(that would have to come out of my pocket).

Also Since I have strobes in the headlights and fogs, and their getting replaced I will probably have to pay them to redo them in the new lights(am asking them about that on drop off.. tomorrow)

Painting the teeth black is a nice touch. How much are they charging you to paint them black? I was thinking of doing that on my Monte. Local body shop wanted $500 to do it on mine. (No, I didn't get it done)

I dont know what they will charge. I will find out mid day tomorrow. I dont think it would be a whole lot since they receive the bumper from gm is its matching silver but they clear coat it at the shop. So the only addition is painting it black and the labor of masking etc.. then the clear of it would be included in the normal repair costs.
