Glad you're trip to Michigan was good to you. Did they run into any problems. What do you think of your new tranny with the 3.29 gearing? Did you get the finned tran's pan?

I won't give 6 seconds, but I'll give you 6 lengths.

The computer is misinterpreting the tranny, therefore stuttering under load.. they assure me that it will all be worked out on monday, when I travel back up there for them to fix it..

And in other news... my smooth tensioner right below the supercharger, on the supercharger belt, went bad. Started squeaking like CRAZY!!!! 17.99 part from AutoZone fixed it.. turns out the bearing siezed.. no big deal.. 5 minute swap =)

Sorry to hear about your problems. Hope they get things worked out. Are you still using your PCM, or is it theirs? I have one of theirs. We couldn't get mine to cooperate with the upgrade.

I'm running theirs... and because we were there until almost 8 pm that night, and I had work the next morning, I HAD to leave... so they didn't get a chance to work out all of the bugs, pretty typical with a major overhaul like a cam, IC, and new blower, along with new tranny.. ya know?

Hell of a long trip for that. Did they only work on your car that day or were there others. I would have expected them to be able to do those mods in one long day if there were 2 or 3 working on it.

Took them Half of Tuesday, all of Wednesday...

They had to modify a ****load to get this to work with the Monte.. Needed to remove the FIPK barrier, along with the Alternator relocation brackets... removal and reinstallation of LIM, etc etc etc... Along with new double roller, valve springs, etc etc...

ALOT of work... they pulled it off almost effortlessly, and I already clarified with tim that this is a cost free visit on my end... meaning if it takes them all day to finish with the tranny programming, etc, it will not cost me a dime ( obviously )

A long trip? not really... 6 hours on cruise control.... very nice and easy drive...

And as far as the trip home.. once this thing is completely dialed in... it's gonna be one hell of a ride home.. and if the weather's nice... may even race a few cars =)
