First I want to say thanks to all for the compliments on the Monte.

Secondly, just got my insurance bill. YOU GOT TO BE FREKIN KIDDIN'. THIS ISN'T A CORVETTE!!!

I'm a 47 year old man with a clean record and they want $183 a month with 1K deductable.

Should have bought the Cobolt.........NOT!

Thanks for reading my small rant.

WHOA!!!!! I live in Las Vegas where insurance and registration are kneecap busters, I am only 25 yrs old, and I don't even pay that much for insurance!! Maybe they think it's a V8 SS? I would call them up and check the facts.

Insurance on the Monte was even cheaper than my '03 Cavalier because it is a much safer car. I use Allstate, had them for a few years, no complaints. Switched from Geico, their rates went through the roof out here.

I miss the days back home in the islands. For my Silverado, I paid $345 PER YEAR!! And that's being a 19 yr old with 2 accidents and 1 speeding ticket.

After 10 years with this company called Bristol West, I might be ready for a change also.

I am paying about $750 every 6 months for my '06 SS. I am 25, single, male, in South Florida, clean record, and thats with the multi-car discount through State Farm. It's a little higher than what I would like, but actually not as high as I thought it was going to be. I was expecting to pay nearly a grand every 6 mos. Its a bit more than my 95 p/u, but then again, the Monte's got quite a bit on the truck, so I wont complain.

That's crazy.... I have State Farm, 36 years old, married with multi-car discount, no accidents on an 06 LS for $335 a 6 months.

You always have to consider what city you live in, though. Some cities have a higher incidence of T/A's than others and a higher car theft rate. These will raise or lower the rates in a given city.
