My kids are grown and have their own cars.
One has a Mustang
and the other has a MONTE CARLO........

 

U must be a proud papa Mrrench! At least of the Monte Carlo owner that is, lol. As for the other... well we all make mistakes, right?

Just kidding, the Mustang's not a terrible car.... that is if you can get over paying that much more for a name, rather than true quality and performance.

As far as the Impalas go.... ugh. Trust me, I drove a LTZ and a 3lt impala, and hated both in the styling department. I just can't get over the 2 extra doors. They feel much more 'subdued' as far as handling goes. I just can't take a cushy grocery getter. If I had a family I'd rather have a base trim impala for the family, and the Monte as a good "Sunday Driver"

 

I have also have another reason for not being crazy about 4 doors either.

 

It seems like 2 door coupes are fast disappearing anymore...I think that's the trend.

 

Let me say I like the idea of that beast of a motor there putting in that car but i dont like the looks of the car itself...I honestly think the MC has ruined me for all other cars...I like my monte well enough, i Will buy a used car just so i can get my hands on another Monte Carlo...The next one is going to be one of the newer montes with the V8...any testimonials on that ride?? how is the power?

 

Ya I am running out of choices. I will ONLY buy 2 door cars. I guess the large 2 door car is exstinct (sp?)

 

I drove an 06 SS with the V-8 montess2001 and it isn't as impressive as one would think. Sure it does 0-60 in 6 sec but my LTZ does it in 6.6 and costs over 5K less!!!

But to each his own.
