I would want to get some kind of side skirts before paint to go along with that aggressive hood and those wheels. Looks like he's doing a good job for sure!

Brent - it has side skirts. They are just not on there. Gonna paint a lot of stuff off the car and then reassemble it. Here's a pic before we started.

I wanted to trim the bottom in silver, but it is her car and she wants it more blacked out.

It looks good. But I'll be honest Jerry - from the photo at least, it doesn't really look all that different than the last photo really. I am getting impatient. Get some paint on there already! J/k... well sort of. It's actually very good to be so patient if it means its going to be a better quality job. I waited a full year on my truck in the body shop and was still horribly disappointed in the quality of a job they did. But your car (your wife's car) does look really good at this stage and it'll probably be better than a new car when you get it back.

This gives you more time to work on your wife with the silver skirting idea that you and I know sure would look so good with those wheels (and not just cuz it would look more "Intimidating")...

Brent- I was just on her about the silver skirting and it is a no go...As far as progress goes, picture really doesn't look much different as you said but work has been done. I am patient and this is at least a 3K paint job by todays standards. He is leaving no stone unturned. He is so picky, cracks me up. He wants no silver to be found anywhere, underneath, trunk, he has even unbolted front fenders to get it black in there. He has done way more than I would have ever did and I have assisted on many cars. So, in all for the $750 I paid him, I cannot at all complain. I did however tell him I would give him a $300 bonus because I feel bad at what price I am paying him. He is one of my best friends and only wants the wife to have an outstanding paint job. He actually is very upset at the amount of time he has had it but as I told him we are really in no hurry since weather is crappy anyways. It def will be done this week. And will be sporting the yellow letters.... Wife loves the yellow. I have chrome overlays for the Impala side emblems and painted the black support bars under hood red along with red 3800 emblems for engine cover and red 3800 V6 emblems for hood. Blacking out chrome bar on grille and it will be painted to match car. She wants black everything. Mad bcoz I ordered those 3800 for hood in red....Can't please a woman all the time but we can try sometimes.
