Same here. You'd think they would at least go two spaces over considering there's no other cars anywhere near. But no, side by side, a few inches away from my door out in the middle of nowhere.

 

do what i do: don't park in the middle of nowhere. just park towards the end of the row where not many people want to walk, where usually there is a few parking spots between cars. i've seen a couple cars at the end of parking lots get hit because people turn aroudn to go back up the row and not pay attention. hwen more cars and people are around, people more attention to what they are doing. hwen they are "in the middle of nowhere" they stop paying attention and BAM!

 

i've seen evidence of that, couple years ago some guy left our dealership all pissed off... something about tring to get a crack in some part of the grill fixed... well one end of the frontage road that the dealership is on opens up into an old/unused grocery store parking lot... he hit a 4' tall 2 1/2' wide painted bright yellow light pole base, going 30-40mph ...did about $10k worth of damage to his ride.

 

Sorry to hear some jerk threw something at your car.

October, 2006 I was test driving the 3LT I almost bought for the weekend. On saturday evening my girlfriend wants to go to the october fest up north. I let her drive the car. Half way through this curve and the car coming towards us, someone hurls something that hits the driversidedoor of this 3LT. I thought "Great" nowI'm going to have to buy this car.

Thankfully no damage was doneto the car.

It was a red brick like object ... smh!

 

I had someone egg my car while I was at a red light. One of my previous cars. The little punks had been standing on the corner. When they the egg bomb hit dead center on my hood, they ducked into an apartment building. I washed the car as soon as I got home, but the egg and the summer sun already did the damage. The hood had to be repainted.

I suppose your lucky the brick-like object didn't hit the window and shatter all over your passenger. Still blows that you have a nice dent to fix, though.

 

Finally....
I used my tax money for 2007 to repair my trunk damage from last October and rock damage to my door in January...
$500.00 bucks total ...
