It shouldn't be that difficult, just unscrew oil cap and grab filler neck tight and twist the same way the oil cap comes off. there are probalby 2 slots in back of the engine that the cover slips into to hold it?

There are no clips or bolts. There is also no need to remove the oil fill cap. Just grasp it by the edges and it will pop right off if you lift straight up.
