General Monte Carlo Talk Talk about the Monte Carlo. Does not have to be your Monte. Can include pics and games.

If GM revived the Monte for one year, which gen would you want it to resemble?

One thing thats for sure. No matter what they do. ( if they do) Not too many of us will be happy with the complete New Model.

Not if they style it like every other new car out there, you got that right. But I think if they really made an effort (lol...) to bring back its roots, they could do a good job.

Agree with this! I don't want anything too beefed up bcuz y'all have got to remember...the more power the car has, the higher the price tag is, period! No one ever seems to think about that. I just don't want it to look anything like the cruze, volt, or any of the new style cars they got out now. I also want it to have the ability to be modded in all areas

Yes!
So many cars have high belt lines (tiny windows), smiley face grills, ugliness, look like boxes, and don't have really much thought put into them. The new design needs to be reminiscent of the original Monte, with the fuel efficiency of the 6th Gen (with performance options, of course..) I'm not sure of the MPG ratings of the other MCs, but I get anywhere from 26-35MPG hwy, and 21-24MPG city.

All the new cars look like cutesy bugs and it disgusts me. They all are conforming to the same 3 shapes now... As long as the Monte keeps its distinguished fender bulges, they will be on the right track.

Would love to see a 2nd gen revival, but that's unrealistic. If GM decided to do a retro Monte, there is no doubt in my mind that they'd go with the 4th Gen styling. That being said, for the SS they would need to have the LS3 with either a 6-speed auto with a 6-speed manual as an option and it would need to be RWD. Would love to see an LS9 in one, but why would GM want competition for the 'Vette or CTSV.

because not everyone wants a corvette. ive always loved big body cars. you wouldnt catch me in a small car like a corvette if the monte i described was created. i would gladly go broke for 8 years paying that car off. GLADLY
