General Monte Carlo Talk Talk about the Monte Carlo. Does not have to be your Monte. Can include pics and games.

If GM revived the Monte for one year, which gen would you want it to resemble?

Your dream Monte - say, the body of the '71 with only the 400; the body of the 6th gen with the engine of a 1st gen... pick and choose, any combo of specs from any generation. Curious to see what would be rolling around the roads if the MCF folk ruled for a year

I would want a seventh Gen body style
The 71 400 engine with rear wheel drive.
T-tops a must.
Swivel bucket seats like the old school monte (forget what year swivel seats where)
Id be 1st in line for that.

I'd like to see a RWD version of the 6th gen powered by a 600+ HP small block.

1st Gen. With rear wheel drive. Priced so that we could buy one. Not at $30,000. At the car craft Nat'ls last yr. I saw a 1970 Monte carlo Convert. WOW what A nice job he did on that. If it's there this yr. I'll need to take some pictures. They never made a convert in a M/C
