I want to use my Fog lights as DRLs??
Hello, I want to use my Fog lights as DRLs?? has anyone did this or tried it? If so, is there any easy way to describe on how to do it? What I am doing is taking a pair of headlights and taking them apart. I want to use my fog lights as day time runninig lights because of what i am planning to do. I plan to carefully CUT OPEN a headlight, and install a HIGHBEAM HALO light in the light and use HID with ballast on High as well as low to get a very unique look. I have seen NO ONE else try this , so I may be the first.
Anyway. Is there a way to change the light system to work like that? Im hoping.... IF not, Im gonna take my DRL and run the wireing to my FOG lights and use HALO lights there, and use the BEST low beam lights I can but and try to figure out a way to make 2 pair of them to work (1 as high beams, 1 as high, I figure the 10,000 lum) Either way, I think it would be cool as hell..... ANY opinion would be great.....MJ

I'm trying to think back now. I believe the DRL's are operated by the Body Control Module. You would need to alter the BCM to make the change you want.
If you like, you could just pull the relay for the DRL and not use them at all. The relay is located on the upper fuse block under the hood.
