so this is the first race i lost since i moved to Watertown in January, he didn't tell me it was 6 speed LS6 swapped until after the race, i only lost by a half car, and my belt was slipping a lot because of my clogged filter and i lost 3-5 pounds of boost, but he was surprised to say the very least haha.
this was done on a remote country road late at night, we had cars at both ends watching for traffic along with the follow car that was filming
I lost to an LS6 Camaro, not cool. - YouTube

Thanks for posting and including a vid of the Race...
I hope you tighten your belt & clean your filter & line'em `up again for a Monte Carlo WIN
Keep us updated `if you have a rematch...
p.s. Also great that you picked a safe place to race & had look outs....It's always a risk, but it sure is fun
Look'in 4ward to updates

this race was about a month ago, i replaced the filter, and the belt still slips and it's within specification for being tight... good thing i'm really good at modifying things to make them work the way I want, i'll be grooving my modular pulley to give it more of a tooth pattern to make it bite the belt. But none of this is going to happen until i get bigger injectors, i got the car running much better, but my injectors are maxed hitting 99% duty cycle just before every shift, so any amount more boost and i'll lean out and *BOOM*
we have plans for another race in august when i have my car all sorted out with the blower swap, injectors, and full e85 conversion.. i smell a beat down comin' i've taken my gen3 to 15 pounds, when i get my finish making my modifications to gen5 it'll be simply amazing, i smell 20 PSI coming but i need a 3bar MAP to let the computer read boost that high...

stock engine got a rod tossed through it, he swapped the whole ls6, with a set of compcam springs and a different timing chain, other than that i think its a stock ls6, he just winds that thing out soo high, from my point of view during the race I could hear he's going way over 6000, just sounds sick as heck
