I Love My Monte Carlo [pictures]
and I love the color of my Monte Carlo - Precision Red.
The temperature today was 66 but it was cloudy and rain was on the way. Not the best day for photos but so what? I've spent all week working on detailing and repairing rust damage on the struts and control arms. (another post). I missed 2 beautiful days of Sunshine, I just had to get out. I barely got home before the rain began.
This is one reason I love my color - Precision Red. I have nothing against Victory Red (I had a VR Corvette and it was awesome) but side by side my vote goes to Precision. This photo was taken at a gas station today (QT in Arnold for those who know the area). As I was going back to my car a Victory Red (or maybe Torch Red) was stopped at the intersection. The clouds and lack of Sunshine made my MC look s-o-o-o-o-o G-o-o-o-o-d, such a deep Red almost Burgundy. Sorry, this one was taken with my iPhone.
Please forgive me for being so proud of my new MC. I just had to show it off again.
Full size pictures are at: Photobucket. I'll re-size and upload to my Garage soon.

That was already there when I bought it. The first owner stated that when they got it home from the dealer it "needed something". They called a friend who happened to be an artist and who happened to do pin stripping. He came to their house, they discussed colors and he did it in their garage - paint not tape, free hand. I like it. Not gaudy, just right. Hood and deck near the Bow Tie emblems, the sides where most owners put pin stripes and that 'star' behind the passenger windows.
I've seen pin strippers do their thing at car shows and am amazed at the results.
