Thanks everyone. I was only allowed 4 characters and I can't believe that choice wasn't taken yet. I decided to go with a more universal plate so that if I do get rid of Silver I can transfer the plates onto any car like say a new Camaro heeheehee!

Cool!

Love the route 66 theme. Wish they did cool theme plates like that here. Here they have a selection of small logos you can add to your plate. Mostly Canadian sports teams and universities. Plus the obligatory "Don't drink and drive" logo. Boring stuff like that.

I wish they had an auto theme or nascar theme plate here. When I go next week to put in for my personal plates, I'm just getting it on the plain background.

Great plates guys!

The Route 66 all vanity (no numbers) cost me $163 - $29.00 replacement fee, $94.00 vanity fee and $40.00 Route 66 fee. Then the annual renewal fee costs $118.00 per year which break down to $78 registration fee, $13 vanity fee, and $27 Route 66 fee. You can go to the IL DMV web site and download the different kinds of license plate applications.

Thanks Cort. They have random number Route 66 plates that are less money - I think they are $105 a year to renew.

That B some fee for the vanity.

Mine are $75/yr and that's enough if you ask me.

Plus my county increased the license fee this year. @#$$%&**($$%^
