RE: I have over_____miles on my Monte Carlo : )
06 SS bought in July 06 7700 miles no major problems execept black on black the inside dash panel(where the defoster vent is) and both side piller plastics replaced. small issue with the air bag/seat belt light going off and on at will, all fixed at the dealer mostly a timely fashion in which it was done. The seat belt/ airbag light had to get it to come on and then take it in they trouble shot it for about 6 hours to find that the computer needed an upgrade

Oh, and tomorrow is my 1 year anniversary on MCF!!!
GP `Dave,
Congratulations on your first year in your Monte, & the MCF.
Over 1300 +contributing posts : ) WoW.
You sure drive your Monte a lot of miles.
Do you still have the factory tires ?
I wish I could afford to put that many miles on mine.
I still ride my bike or skateboard to two of my jobs, and the other
one a fellow worker picks me up.
My Monte stays in the garage, but I have low miles a year insurance : )
My driving probation is up on my next birthday in Dec.
Street Racing can be very expensive : (
I wish you many more carefree miles on your awesome Monte LTZ.
~ Peace & Happiness ~

Even after all the racing and peel outs I've done its hard to believe.
My brakes are still looking good after 33K miles.
I love my LTZ, even after owning a very powerful motorcycle, I am amazed by the torque the 3.9 produces.

I'm at 104,000 and counting. Replacedthe coolant sensor twice. Cat (warranty). Just did intake gaskets, they were fine, it was the plastic elbow in the lower intake that broke at the oring groves.

Member 01 Pacecar,
Thanks for your post, and sharing what prob's you have encountered. That's what I was hoping for when I
started this topic.
You have a rare Monte Carlo, please post some
pictures of your 01Pacecar.
Thanks again, for your contributions to the MCF

I have over 94,000 miles on my 02 MC SS. Problems fixed include:
Warped rotors machined twice and replaced once
Main computer replaced
Brake control module replaced
Transmission rebuilt
Accessory computer replaced
Intake gasket replaced
Tires, brakes, battery, belts, etc as routine maintenance
As a side note, the first 60,000 miles were mostly trouble free, with just routine maintenance required. Those looking for a used 2000-2004 might consider this when comparing cars.
Of course, even given the issues we've had, we still have a lot of fun together and I probably won't sell until she flat-out dies or I'm making a lot more money
