If you had the option.
even now.
to transform your monte carlo into a stick shift.
.....
would you do it?
yes or no? and why?
i ask myself if i would truely love drivin a stick every day.. even in traffic.

One answer to this question:
"Hell Yeah"!!
I miss driving a stick shift, one of the many reasons I want my Camaro back on the road (that and it's a freakin' Camaro). But one disappoint I've had with GM's product line is for YEARS no v6 with a stick unless it was RWD (F-body basically). Then when they brought the G6 out, WHAM, finally a v6 with a stick.
The money it would take to convert my current Monte to a stick, I can't justify, not with a Camaro to support. But I'd still love to have it.

I love driving stick shift rides...When I had my last Monte I was searching for a wrecked Pontiac G6 with the 3.9L GM Engine & Six SPeed Stick to convert my Monte, but could not find one (The 3.9 L V6 became an option on the GT, producing 227 horsepower in automatic transmission form and 240 horsepower in manual transmission form.)
Below is infor on it.

I would not.
A well tuned automatic is proven to be more consistent on a drag-strip. When I get this Monte going crazy with a turbo, I would rather focus on driving with my torque-steer than shifting
Driving a manual in traffic all the time is not bad. I don't understand why people "creep" all the time. If traffic isn't moving and there's a space between me and a car, I don't care. I'll sit there until traffic actually starts moving. I don't need to slip my clutch just to move a few inches.

yeah thats true !
thats good to know! i would love to have a secondary car thats stick shift
thats true! there was a crash on i-75 near by and it was 4 hours of traffic
lucky!
yeah and we had to wait for the cobalt too !
were they really? thats sweet!
that. would. of. been. AWESOME.
battling the torque-steer! when is the turbo coming to your monte?? thats going to be sweet. how much horse do you want out of it?
and you do bring up a valid point about inching. if i drove a stick i probably wouldnt do all that just to move 1 inch lol
lucky!
