I am so pissed.

Seems there have been a few more threads lately dealing with damaged or violated Monte's I hope this isn't a continuing theme. I can definitely relate with how you must feel when someone dismantles your car like that.
Gotta ask, when and if you do see that silver Monte, what will be your first action?

i took those lip off the monte before and yes they are pain to to take off, but these guys must know what they doing. the bumper was already off the car when i took mine off. there are 17-18 small metal clips holding the lip, 2 10mm screws holding the tabs under the frame. there MIGHT be few plastic rivets too, i'm not sure i forgot. that's why i said they have to jack up the car to get to the clips plus your car is lowered which will be little harder to get to.

Yeah you might not be back but most people who do these kind of things, are stupid enough to come back. Id suggest keeping a brick handy and be on the look out. The brick could pose as two good uses. One, revenge, and two, it would leave a nice identifiable mark for the police... If you go the route of calling the police?

Ok so it was stolen while I was at work. Somebody stole it while it was parked in employee parking lot. They left most of the clips laying on the ground. They had huge ***** because there is people in and out of out lot all day long. What really pisses me off is that a fellow Monta Carlo owner probably stole it. I wish this wish would have never happened. However I could come out of this smelling like a rose. I took it to a Chevy dealer for estimate to replace it. Get this $1,137 estimate to replace it. I found a brand new one on Ebay for $200 and it will cost about $150 to get it painted. So I should pocket a little over $700 profit on this fiasco. Its a comprehensive claim so it is zero deductible. STill wish it had never happened. I will be keeping and eye out for Monta Carlos near my work for sure.
