If it's a real Z-28, where are the fender vents, front chin spoiler and the wheelwell spats? I don't think it's a real Z.
No way would I trade. That's only worth maybe 2200, maybe 2400, if it's really that clean.

'caus people suck. i would say that car's worth at least $3500 if you lowballed him. nice car, i like it, mabe he'll trade for a nice red 5th gen? especially if its an ultra rare "RS diesel" edition? ( gotta love lifter tap )

but seriously most people really suck when your trying to sell a car. guy that works nextdoor to my dad is selling a '70 torino GT, 429 4 speed car with the detroit locker rear. he's asking $4,500 for it and even though its a project its worth every penny just because of the cars rarity. and he's getting people calling him offering $500 for the car. just because the ad says "best offer" dosent mean "retarted offer", haha.

i dont think that camaros worth anything. even if the drivetrain was stout its wrapped in a super undesirable body. those camaros were heavy and had big time rusting issues. 2500 would be being generous. i also dont like how theres no interior pics, and how the only thing stated about the motor is that its got a high rise with a double pumper on it. if i was goin to pick something like that up id want to know what heads are on it, what the cam specs are, what converter is in it, compression ratio. id want to know im making an educated decision and have as much info as possible before i even discuss prices. nothing could be worse than buying it taking it home and its got a ton of duration and overlap doesnt produce enough vacuum to really power the brakes and has a converter thats so deep you gotta bury the gas just to take off at every light, not to mention the 4.10s with a 3 speed its going to be buzzing itself to death on the highway. if it does wind up that its built to the hilt and your just buying it to street race then go for it. or you could always buy my 80.

Also, don't forget. Those older engines, like you find in the 70's Camaros don't last as long as the newer engines, that are in your Monte Carlo. Where the 3.8 (and 5.7 xD) can last 200,000 miles if it's well maintained, that old Camaro engine may only last 100,000 miles with good maintenance.

Don't know how much the mods affect the speed of that Camaro, but a stock Z28 from 1978 does 0-60 in 8.4 seconds, and the 1/4 mile in 17 seconds. That is WAY slower than your Monte Carlo. Also, as everyone else said the gas mileage will be far worse.

As for the value on the car? I wouldn't pay more than $5,000 for it, and that's only if I really really wanted it.

That body style camaro is the least desirable, slowest, heaviest, and not to mention ugliest camaros they made. They have a severe case of the 70s slowness. On top of that, the car was used as a drag car and it doesnt look like its in the greatest shape. I think 2500 would be REAL generous for that car. No way would I trade your monte for it.
