I get mine to the do it yourself bay when i can.

 

I wash it once every week 52 times a year for 10 years so far

 

I Like how you do I did this with my 86 Monte when i got it in February till the time i sold it in October

 

Just got done washing my Monte SS & wife's Impala SS now they are both clean.

 

I washed my KIA on Friday. Monday I'm going to wash the Monte Carlo and put the paint sealant and wax on for Winter.

 

here in nova scotia my monte is tucked in for the winter.......but if the hose is not froze the taurus gets washed.......i will never run a car through a car wash or spray wash.......or i'll take it somewhere and get it handwashed

 

Washed my Monte a couple days ago. Luckily it's still somewhat warm enough to do that here. Not looking forward to winter weather. I hate having to keep my car parked outside in the elements year round.

 

I ran my car through an automatic car wash and messed up my antenna

 

Ouch. Ran mine through the automatic wash today too.

I used to unscrew the antenna before going through the car wash. Just to be on the safe side.

 

Is it a stock Antenna? or something in the aftermarket type.

I have ran mine thru multiple auto washes and never had an issue with any damage to my antenna...
