99 monte carlo z34 67500 miles

problems:
at 62k jerking/hesistating transmission solution(replaced valve body with one from triple edge)

abs activating randomly during normal braking solution(unknown)

rack and pinion slight leak solution(replacement at future date)

Problems: (All of which have been fixed recently)
Sun roof (Idiot right before I traded my truck for it decides to push it open to get it open.)
Rust (Apparently the cars has had a small hit where the rust is occurring, Doesn't surprise me since the car was owned by someone in college and you have to park near lots of retards.)
Rack and Pinion (Don't know why it was bad.)
Struts (They've just worn out.)
The high pressure going through the hoses after the new rack and pinion caused a hose to burst.

Personal Problem:
The exhaust sound of the Monte Carlo SUCKS. Both of my brothers grand prix GT's with 3800's 6th and 7th gens sound great. Chevy you screwed the exhaust up or something,

01 monte SS 249k 3.8l V6 had since 225k only thing ive had done is replaced the oil pan.

 

04 with 155,456. water pump@98,000 when i flushed the dex-cool out(read horror stories about that crap) not a problem with cooling system after that,plugs and wires@100k,2belt tensoniers,still having issues with chirp noise.front right wheel hub@153k and now this annoying mirror.i do the oil and stuff anything major mr goodwrench gets a call.Im the 3rd owner,had 41k when i got him. so far knock on wood. just piddilly *** stuff.

 

as of now i have 150,989 on it, needs inner tie rod end on the left wheel, the right hand brake cable in the back snapped and some minor body work. realistically talking its fine the way it is as a DD

 

wanna make ur car sound like their GP's, drill two holes in the exhaust pipe right after the cat, it'll make it sound alot like a Grand Prix...

 

Just turned over 4200 miles as of Sunday

 

That's low Miles 4200 NICE Monte..
I thought I was doing good with 55,883 Miles on a 2005 Monte..

 

43,500 on my 2003 Monte SS.
