I'm about to hit 125k. Thinking about putting in new O2 sensors since I have some car part store rebates to burn. Was working under the car today and saw a few drops of oil, looks like my oil pan gasket might need to get changed in the near future. I'm also thinking of going down and taking the heads out to do a valve job as I'm using about 2 quarts of oil every 2.5-3k miles. I paid for a cylinder compression test last year when I had them do my rear plugs, and values came back fine, though the oil burning is getting a bit worse. Been using synthetic 10w-30 since about 60k miles.

Already replaced at 80k miles the LIM gaskets and UIM gasket and replaced the stove pipe (what a pain that was). So debating whether to burn oil or burn $ on a engine rebuild kit.

I recommend switching to High Mileage synthetic if you aren't using it now. My oil consumption and front main seal leak are both reduced since I switched about 25k ago. I'm down from adding one quart every 2500 to I believe about 4000-4500 now.

234,550 on my 02 SS. Never had to do anything other than the UIM and LIM gasket job. Sad to say the trans has died on me recently. Would rather take a bullet than let this car die.....Engine is still strong,m interior is literally perfect, but it suffered clear coat failure before i bought it. You treat a Monte with Love and respect, and she will do the same for you.

Default Probably my last Monte

215,000 - 2003 SS. Recently replaced transmission, brake rotors and pads. Starting to use a little oil. Have had car about ten years. Had less than 70K miles on it when I bought it. Owes me nothing. Has had intake gaskets and pan gasket replaced. Otherwise routine maintenance.

11/7/2019 edit
Totaled mine yesterday. Won't be racking up any more miles. Am going to miss that car.

It runs okay it’s got a miss and it was neglected ( not me) but it has great potential and has come a long way
