Exclamation Help

Hello everyone,
The wife has a 2000 MC SS and all of a sudden the car wont start. I have wierd flashing of all interior lights when I go to start it. The engine clicks but wont turn over. I even did this with a charger on the battery in a 50amp start mode and it wouldnt turn over. Please any help would be appreciated.

Hi ShortyTall, sorry to read about your problem.
It could `be so many things, but we don't have to much to work with so far ?

Maybe a bad solenoid or starter ?
How many miles on your Monte ? What condition is your Monte ? (has it been Maintained ? Has it had any major problems lately, besides this last one ? or what major parts have already been replaced ?)
^Please reply to help member's with your prob's ^

Please check back & see what our expert tech member's advise or suggest...Good Luck

Ok may sound dumb but have you checked your cables and terminals? Are they clean? are they tight? That has bitten me so many times on other cars (Like my step-son's)

Just had it rewired in the winter, the battery wasnt keeping a charge so thats what I am going to try this evening. it has been starting fine since the rewire job, and drove fine all last week. It has 120K on it and it has all original parts, besides the wiring...(the battery is ORG too!!!). Where is the starter located.

...(the battery is ORG too!!!). Sounds like this may be an issue too. (Even though you had a charger on it)

I would definitely assume it is the battery. They take a LOT of cranking amps to turn
