Default Headlight wiring

Does any one happen to know the smallest gauge of wiring in the low beam circuit? I'm shopping around for new headlight bulbs and some of them draw a ridiculous amount of power, but have really good light output. Anyway I'm wanting to know the gauge so I can do my own calculations for max wattage. Thanks in advance!

Any reason you can't just go by the stock fuse size to figure out wattage? The stock wiring should be sized to support up to that fuse size and for cost savings reasons they wouldn't typically run something substantially larger since there's no benefit to anyone. If you're going to be drawing substantially more amperage than the fuse rating, I'd consider just running fresh wiring.

I dont know the answer youre looking for but I can say however, I used bulbs that were 5 watts over the stock bulbs and melted the wires. I think I remember the ones that did this were 55 watts.. I think..

I can't find a headlight fuse, but I might be blind lol.
@wht02monte to think I wanted to run 80 watt bulbs. That definitely would've been a fire.
