Default Headlamps

Long story short my oem lamps fog up and I'm getting tired of it. Tired several times over the years to "fix" the problem with zero luck. Would like to get new lamps but damn OEM is expensive. Anyone had any luck on a pair off ebay or Amazon? I don't want to spend nearly $200 on aftermarket lamps just to have them fog up too and fade after a year or something. OEM is about $170 just for one lamp which is ridiculous in my opinion. Aftermarket is around $180 for a pair which is still expensive imo.

You think $170/ ea for oem is bad- I just did the headlights in my C6 over the winter, and the dealer wanted $1200 per side!!! Even the cheaper online retailers were still $850+!

Ended up is buying aftermarket lenses and replacing then myself, but that was still about $350.

That was a shocker for sure. I did polish the stock ones myself first, but since the protectant coating was crazing, I had to sand down to the bare plastic and polish that back up. Looked pretty good, but didn't stay nice for long without that protectant layer on there. It was a real chore to keep them looking good.

Guess I should just suck it up and get OEM lamps?

you could try car-part.com to find good used ones from a yard near you. It's hit or miss.

Also ebay has aftermarkets for 60, dunno the quality though.

Edit: DOH! I can't read today. The above link is for FOG lamps

Ebay has some headlamps for 78 each, can't speak for quality. A little less than the 180/pair but not much.

Correct link
