Header Panel 83 & 79/88 question...

You are likely going to have a problem buying something "off-the-shelf" that will mouth right up to that without mods on the passenger side.
I have a 1982 El Camino, same underhood everything, with a 400 small block, & had to hammer the underside of one tube to make it clear the suspension. These cars/trucks are very hard to put headers on, unless you get a custom set built.
I used Hedman headers. They have been on since 1993.

The '86-88 LS Montes, the front fenders are not the same as the SC and SS Montes. The LS front fenders are actually 1 inch longer at the wheel well. So if you decide to use the '86-88 piece on your non-LS Monte you'll need to swap front fenders.
A guy on Monte Millennium Generations wanted his LS to be an SS. For the parts to fit and look right he had to buy a complete SS nose and swap it out. I remeber him telling me if you try to use the LS nose on non-LS fenders some of the bolt holes don't line up.
