Chances are good that engine has less miles than the car does, as that is not OEM engine in that particular vehicle...
Hell, I might consider that for my daily vehicle...

and look @ this 2000 SS for $7500

it more than likely got a motor swap, but I would be asking, did the tranny get upgaded, or replaced too.

no it was originally an SS. Look at the guage cluster. It has an SS cluster in there, also the fog lights and interior switch for them are all factory, so I would say it was originally an SS.

Only 04 and 05's could get the L67 in them so this must be an engine swap. I can't see it being just a top swap. All they did was get a cluster to match... probably a totaled donor car.
