gen6 to gen 7 front end swap
#11
your going to have to swap the hood, headlights, fenders, and bumpers. personlly i like the 6th gen nose better myself. your going to have to use mont fenders though instead of impala ones on account of that the monte has the body lines and the impala doesnt. i say go for it. the fenders and hood can be found for butt cheap but the nose itself is whats going to cost you especially if you want the ss stuff.

personally, i like the grill on the 7th gen monte front bumper a lot more than the 6th gen monte front bumper.
does anyone make fiberglass fenders or carbon fiber fenders for the 06-07 monte carlo? i know that duraflex makes them for the 00-05 monte carlo.

A lot of people tell me that they can't tell the difference. To me it's a huge difference. When I did mine, I had a lot of people that couldn't see the difference.

Yep. The bottom/center grille is a lot wider. That is one of the reasons that I went with it. I wanted more air flow over the inter-cooler. Also, the fog light openings are different. I used an Impala LTZ bumper cover with Impala SS inserts to keep the mesh grills. It's a little easier to see on a different color than black. I had to modify the "chin spoiler" significantly in order to make it fit on the LTZ cover.
When you compare it to a MC bumper side by side the differences become more apparent.
I am pretty sure that the OP just wanted to switch to the newer style front end on his MC. Not necessarily an Impala switch.
