Gauge cluster cross roads!!
My short answer: I've not had any work done by him yet, but I wouldn't hesitate to use his services when the need arises. Too many positive reviews and he's a member. I SHOULD have him replace the bulbs in my factory headunit before warm weather gets here. I have a few that are out, like the station 1-2 button.
That's what he said Email is faster for him..
I've heard that there may be a way to switch the chips in the cluster that stores the mileage. I don't know that I would have enough nerve to try it though. Sounds a bit risky. I called a dealership here in Iowa to see if they could do it, and they called me back and left a message and said that it is illegal in Iowa to do that, and he said he wanted me to call him back because he "wanted to discuss this with me". He didn't sound very friendly about it, so I never called him back. I was just looking for something quicker than sending it in to BBengineer. He works fast enough, but from here it would be over a week with shipping time and such.
The way I see it, if I have the mileage switched to exactly the same as my LS cluster, it shouldn't matter about putting a different cluster in. It's my car, and as long as I'm not screwing anyone over, I should be able to do whatever I want to it.

I would just let BBEngineer adjust the mileage reading. You know it's not going to be something simple that anyone can do. If it was easy, there would be people changing the mileage on their car.
I've heard lots of positive comments about BBEngineering.
