Default Fuel Stream Issue(Carburation)

Hi, I have a 1975 350 Monte Carlo. It has the stock Rochester Quadrajet. The Quadrajet has been rebuilt. Today I was looking down and pressing down on the accelerator pump to check the two fuel streams that shoot out. The driver side shoots a nice straight stream while the passenger side more spurts out like having your finger over a hose. Any help is greatly appreciated and God Bless You.

Just a thought,
There might be a piece of debris that's plugging up one of the ports where the fuel comes out. The other thing it might be is that one of the metering rods near the float bowl might not be bent just right. It's been a while since I had to work on a Q-Jet, but I have a feeling that might be what causing your fuel problem. Good Luck my friend.

Thanks for your response, if it is debris how do you recomend clearing it out? I sprayed some carb cleaner right up in there which did nothing. Thank you

Unfortunately you might have to open up the carb to see on the other side of the jet that's plugged. There are some screws that allow you to remove the top cover, but be careful- the float bowl assembly, nozzles, etc. will come out with it. They have to be put in the same position as they were before or the car will run crappy. Check this page out: Ken's QuadraJet

It's off of a Vette, but essentially the same one that was used across most of GM's lineup at the time. Hopefully, that page provides you with more info.
