Here's what I'm thinking about doing with my trunk emblems. I'm also going to remove the square GM emblems from the front front fenders, and eventuallyreplace the front grilles (as soon as I can find some that I like).

My $0.02 worth. Chevycould have come up a better emblem or something for the frontfenders. I know theSSgot "SS" on thedoors. Butwith LTZ being a higher end car why didn't they make a smaller "LTZ" emblem to go on the front fenders? Or even a knight's head?

That makes sense, and perhaps that's why the execs at GM chose not to doit. I've made my opinion clear in previous posts, which is that theexecs at all of the American automakersmust be ondrugs. There can be no other explanation forsome of their nitwittery.

Thanks for your feedback, Nick and Keegan. I think I'm going to go ahead and do it...I'll post some "real" pics when it's done.

So what's the easiest way to pop the clear plastic bit off? I ended up breaking one already, but that was the reason I did that one first, I didn't care about breaking it...

Nevermind, soaked it a bit and ran my eraser sheild between the plastic and backing, came right off.

Gale, look for Carriage Works.... I think you can get them at auto-anything? I've got one myself, and like it , just haven't had the time because you have to basically gut the stock grill, so I've been waiting to find a wrecked car with a good grill that I could buy. It was 100$ just for the upper, and you can buy lower grilles seperately if you want.

Hmm, I'm wanting to paint this here emblem black, however, it has a yellow/gold tint to the plastic. How did you guys go about painting this to get rid of the yellow tint? Or did you just paint over the plastic?
