Looks pretty sweet, I plan on doing my in dark blue, I'm not a huge fan of the gold on our cars for some reason.

Not all '06 Montes got gold bow ties on them.

The one we reented to attend the Monte Nationals in Nashville had blue bow ties on it.

Wonder how the bow ties would look black? Black would look better on a silver car like mine.

Hey how did you paint the bow ties anyway? With automotive paint? Any preperation like primering?

As Black attack said the emblem is easily removed from the car. On the 06-07 emblems there is a somewhat clar plastic pieces about .25 -.33 inch thick that will, with help seperate from the chrome backing. After seperating the two the the backside of the symbol (that was against the chrom backing) has some kind of gold colored foil attacked to it. It peels off. I had to use duck tape to get all the little pieces off. I then just used the left over caliper paint i had and painted the Rear of the emblem (part that attaches to the chrome backing) and used that 3m tape to put it back together again. It took about 45 minutes 3 coats of paint.
Guess i should have taken pictures.

Removing anything attached with two-sided tape is a whole lot easier if you heat it up with a hair dryer first (as someone alluded to).

Nick - your car looks sweeeet! I don't like the gold bowties either, but I'm thinking about removingmine and just leaving them off.
