I've had to do that quite a few times before (never on my own cars) - it gets the job done though. Usually for absent minded co-workers trying to warm their cars up in the winter.

this is why i say its hard to break into a monte. i count at least 3 tries the guy made before he said screw it...and this is on both doors.

i know the police have a hard time with curved doors as well when they do a courtesy lock open.

do what i do, keep a door key in ur wallet and give another key to a parent. never fails

They also sell key boxes that attach by a really strong magnet up inside the fenders. Just got to put them up high enough that you can't feel it just by running your hand inside. Make it inconvenient, since you really shouldn't need to use it often.

^ friend of mine had a box with a key, needless to say her car was not where she left it lol. And after I locked myself out I cut another spare key that I keep in my wallet.

Ouch! Well hence why I said inconvenient place. But unfortunately with new cars and key-less entry it's even easier for people with the know how to get into cars they shouldn't be.

Unfortunately that is true

I use to locked my keys in my 96 Monte Carlo Z34 a lot before I got a spare key made. My 99 Monte Carlo I had a spare so I never needed to do so. My current Monte Carlo when I brought it it didn't come with a door key, I just have a remote. Since I've own My 98 Monte Carlo Z34 I have used the roadside lock out service enough to say its time to get a key made.

Like Zjerry said If you know what your doing you can be in within seconds. I havent seen a car yet that I couldn't open with a coat hanger. I only use my powers for good tho and I'm not giving away my secrets on how.
