I said this before, but I have flat black vinyl stripes on my Mustang, and they are SUPER difficult to keep clean... i'm always removing fingerprints from them. i never use an actual wax, just a spray on wax to clean them... I like the flat black look for striping... looks very nice!

Flat black rims?? There's a thinker, Id like to do that to my rims. Is there any way of making my gloss rims into flat without making it permenent, I think that would be a really rewarding project.

i think it turned out clean. you should get a set of black projector headlights to set it off. either that or tint them cause they really stick out with everything else darkened.

can i ask where you got it done at???

I've always liked flat black on some cars and never gave it much thought for a gen 6 monte. I did my '87 dodge dakota in fb and I found the more items that I shaved off the better it looked and cleaner, especially shiny non-chromed pieces. This is just my opinion but loose the spoiler, do the mirrors, and sandblast finish the taillights. Doing the tails won't reduce light output much if any.

glad it turned out good for you and I'm sure it will get some looks.

I saw a flat black 2010 Camaro yesterday. Looks like crap IMO. The Monte may be able to pull it off. But not those new Camaro's. YUCK!

Hey man, I saw ya leaving the car show at the spaghetti warehouse tonight. Cars looking good, I must admit, it is definitely different. I saw the flat back and did a double take and I knew it was you.
