I'm sorry, but there is nothing nicer than a shiny coat of black.

But that is unique, and I give you props for that.

Flat Black? Hell yeah. I have been thinkin bout goin flat black on the 80 Monte. I think it would look good on my gloss black frame with gloss red accents. I here a complaint every time I bring the subject up. If I dont find a color that catches my eye Im goin flat black. I am a sucker for glossy charcoal grey though.

I'm diggin' it. I've personally been throwing around the idea of flat black racing stripes. Props for doing something different. However, I do agree with others about those headlights and wheels. Gotta switch 'em up.

Im changing the headlights for sure. Im ordering the black projector ones like on ebay.Im also debating doing the rims flat to match or possibly going to a different set. Im very happy with the way it turned out. I was also doing glossy highlights like the emblems/bowties but changed my mind. I am going to leave the "monte carlo" emblem off the back but I am putting the bow tie back on. i took it off for paint of course.

I really do like the shiny black montes too,but there were just too many.

I will post some pics of the new headlights once they come in.

Thanks for all the opinions!

Oh,and the paint is very smooth. Its a regular gloss paint with a flattening agent added. They said I could wax it the same but Im not sure if I am going to try it or not tho.

Looks like any other new car with flat paint, unfinished and waiting for it's color and clear coats after being repaired.
