Default faulty turn signal bulbs?

my 2 front turn signal bulbs arent orange anymore. i noticed when i used them, they looked really pale. when i went to check it out, the bulb is peeling and flaking off, making the turn signals really light colored. not a big deal, but theres orange flakes down in the headlight.

these were the bulbs that were on the car when i bought it, and they do work, so its not a big problem... but its sorta bothersom. im kind of obsessive. lol.

but what made this happen, and will it just happen again if i get new ones? iv never seen this happen before.

It's the kind of paint that's used for light bulbs. Since glass is smooth, paint doesn't stick to it very well. It's really bad with bulbs that have to experience high heat areas (like next to the headlights) and it's also bad with other kinds of lights (Christmas lights for example). Every December I have to deal with these bloody things having peeling paint..
