ORIGINAL: 04 Intimidator

None at all. In fact it won't have any change on your pcm. The only thing it will do is increase the drone in the interior cabin and maybe as 1-3 hp.
Thank you! I appreciate how helpful you've been! ... I have decided against the res delete at this time, though, because I really don't NEED that much more volume... all this preppy college kids will be shooting me snooty looks as-is!

Yep my b-day is coming up in a few weeks and I still dont know what I want. Im thinking of maybe finally doing some exhaust work on my monte as I have always wanted to. I only have a single muffler tho so im thinking of getting one flowmaster 44 and maybe do a u-bend delete as well. Does anyone know about what a muffler shop charges to put on a new muffler?

just to put on a muffler wouldn't be much (happy birthday, btw)
i can't say exactly how much b/c i had a BIT more done than that, but you may consider throwin a y-pipe on there and gettin the dual outs like the other 00-05 dual monte SSs! (a little pipe and welding wouldn't be more than a couple hundred more than the muffler alone)... maybe someone else can help you a bit more than i can (or just go get an estimate... i did!)

If someone were to do everything that you mentioned in this write up (CAI, headers, downpipe, high-flow cat, U-Bend/Res delete, 2.5" exhaust, and high-flow mufflers) would they be making enough power to warrant any tranny mods so that it doesn't fry? Or would doing all of these mods not add enough horsepower to put the tranny in any serious danger?

if you did all of this... you'd probably pick up at the most 25-30 hp. i've heard of our transmissions (the HD in the supercharged and the N/A transmissions (the 4T65-E in the 00+ anyway)) making it to 300 hp with no trouble.... but i'm not the transmission expert around here anyway. but regardless of what they can make, these changes won't put you in danger of toasting a tranny, don't worry about that.

Duane, most of your original post seems to have gotten deleted some time in the past month or so. Once the site is 100%, you may want to re-do it.

Cool. I was about to refer this thread to someone, but decided I better check to see if it still exists first. Lots of great tips for first timers.
