Default Exteneded Warranty

I am going to get an extended warranty for my 2004 Monte, $1300 for 5 years or 80,000 miles, it is a bumper to bumper and I have 27,000 on my Monte now, I hope I am doing the right thing, anyway its worth the piece of mind knowing I have a warranty on it.

I didn't buy the extended warranty when I bought my 1999 Grand Am GT brand new. I figured it was for su ckers. I ended up spending over ten grand in repairs (totaled up) that would've been covered by the extended warranty.

I bought the extended warranty for my Monte. Good thing. The day after the factory original warranty expired, the temperature guage went haywire and the entire guage cluster had to be replaced. Since my guage cluster hasDale Jr's signature and thenumber8 in it, the cluster had to be special orderedfrom GM. The extended warranty covered it.

The extended warranty saved me $300+ the first day it went into effect. Only time will tell if itpays for itself I guess. But I didn't want to get burned again like I did with my grand am.

The Previous Owners Extended Warranty was transferred to me when I bought the car.

When the Turn Signal, Wiper, Headlight High beam~LowBeam Switch broke ... the Warranty covered it for $750.00 ...
I was tagged for 90-Bucks for troubleshooting time that the warranty didn't cover.

That Extended Warranty is still in effect for 2 years!

I hope it is a "GM" factory warranty.
