Guys I'm having a hard time making up my mind on which exhaust system to buy. Which has a better sound and better performance?

 

most peope with 3800's i know have flows, i went with magnaflows and like the sound better. i think next borla might be a better choice

 

alot of people have the gmpd exhaust now too which is magnaflows and they sound pretty good, from what i have heard the borla is pretty quiet

 

I am guessing by your s/n you have an 06 SS v8? As for power gains, they will both be pretty much the same. As for sound, check out youtube and see which one you like better. IMO the magnaflow looks really clean on those cars and sounds pretty good too.

 

didnt see your user..for a v8 i would go with flowmasters but thats cuz im biased and had them on my truck and loved them

 

Flowmaster doesn't make a "kit" for our cars, only Magnaflow. Perhaps that'll make your decision easier. lol

With that being said, search around the forum and YouTube for sound clips of the LS4 exhaust sounds and pick which one you like the best.

 

Id go with magnaflow, Ive heard flows just have the same restriction almost as stock. Have you considered putting on some thrush mufflers, I think those are the best sounding mufflers for a V8 (IMO)
