Question Exhaust Suggestions, N E body? o__O

So I recently just installed my cool air intake by CAI in my 2007 3500 V6, which by the way is treating me in some type of way (in a good way). Now my next mini project is to decide what kind of exhaust work should be done. I really want a loud deep throaty sound that catches peoples attention like "wow that sounds like a sweet ride." So far some inexpensive ideas have come to mind, since I'm also on a budget. I was considering on doing a muffler delete or even take out the resonator as well and just do a straight pipe. But I have also considered on adding either a MagnaFlo or FLowmaster with a resonator delete. Idk though, shoot me some ideas please? or even drop some knowledge?

Best bet is to search around on youtube for other cars with the 3500 and see what other people have done, sooner or later you'll find a sound you like.

Yeah, of course and I so I've noticed not a lot of people post 3500 Monte Carlos :/. So lately I've just been searching 3500 V6 engines that have gotten exhaust work done, of course knowing each car has different specs, just to get a general idea of the sound.

That'll be your best bet, for the most part the sounds should be similar.

Our moderator Michael did a Magnaflow set up on his 3500. I personally rode in that car and it sounded great.

Here's his thread on the exhaust: https://montecarloforum.com/forum/ge...ws-3-5l-17478/

I'm not too sure about the 3.5Ls ive always had 3.8s. What i can tell you is a v6 is rather difficult to get a nice exahust note. The mufflers broke off my 99 grand prix while driving one day and it sounded terrible. also in the grand prixs finall days i had straight piped the converter and resonator with only two thrush turbos left on. It still sounded like dog turds. On my monte though i went with a shorter resonator and the thrush turbos and im quite happy with that. I have heard the magnaflows before and they sound good too.

i agree with leprechaun as well. do some youtube searchin.

hope this helps!

The 60degree motors actually sound decent compared to the 90degree.

That's why the 3400/3500's usually sound better than the 3800 haha

for sure for sure, no this helps as well. I might just do the resonator and muffler delete for now with dual outlets and save up for some mufflers in a few months. It's my first time hearing about thrush turbos too, I might look into that as well, thanks

Mybad, I only have knowledge of the basics of the engine haha. What do you mean by 60 degree motor and 90 degree motor? I'm on here to learn as well, feel free to drop some knowledge haha
