I have a 02 Monte Carlo SS. It currently has turbo mufflers on it and they sound decent but are not very loud. What would be the best mufflers to get the most sound without sounding like a rice burner. I still want a deep throaty sound. Would flowmaster 40's be my best bet?

 

Youd be better off removing the res and cat (if you can get away with it).

I also have a version of "turbo" mufflers.. The sound (or lack there of) is accomplished thru removing the res, cat, and u-bend, more than which mufflers you have..

Now, do those 3 things I said PLUS get some flowmaster 40's, I think youll be very happy.
