2001 Monte Carlo 3.8 V6 217000 miles. Check engine light on with the following codes; P0102 MAF sensor low frequency. P0332 knock sensor malfunction (bank 2).EVAP solenoid No.1 control circuit malfunction.

The evap solenoid electric wires were cut, so I spliced them together, and it has stopped the hesitation on acceleration and the erratic rpms while in drive. But now when in park the rpms rev erratically. What more can I do? It's starting to feel like a losing battle with this POS. Please help, and thank you.

 

Check the wiring to the MAF first. If the wiring checks out, clean the MAF sensor with MAF sensor cleaner.

If that doesn't do it, you might need a new one.
