Has anyone ever used EL wire for their interior and or around headlights maybe instead of LED's?


I purchased some for my PC once and wired it all up had it looking great but then decided to direct wire it to a power source with in my PC and it fried it out.
Im thinking of purchasing the above and running it around/under/over my headlights and rig it up with a switch inside and or possibly just tie it into the headlighs system, and if that goes well also do some stuff on my interior at a later time.

Yes, theres a member thats no longer active thats done it, looked pretty good.

 

Cool, Didn't look cheesy then? I added a red led inside my bumper today just to get an idea how that would look, not sure I like it,,, maybe with a more even glow it will look nicer.

 

EL wire itself doesn't look cheesy, just depends where you put it.
