Not sure about those. But in general, if it fits a 2000 Grand Prix, it'll fit your Monte.

If you decide to go with that, make sure you cover up the top. That'd make for a bunch of unfiltered dirt and crud being sucked straight into your engine.

Good point. Also, if it's open to the rest of the engine compartment, you'll be sucking in hot air and actually lose power.

The hole on the top(front) is not open it is actually a cone inside there

I don't think you're going to flow much air through a 3" filter. A stock filter has more surface area. I'd pass and look for something that will flow more air.

Those are just cone filters. You have no piping or anything else.
