Not sure about PA, but here in Ohio, you would go to jail. Also, there had to be a reason they took off, probably DUI or active warrants or no insurance. People generally don't hit someone and take off for no reason.

90 is speeding? LOL, just kidding.

well it was funny because I called in, stating my current speed (90 mph,) location, and that i was tailing this ***, and the lady on the phone was like:

are you a police officer?

i was like: no mam

she was like, sir, for your safety, slow down

I was like: yes mam, I will return to the scene of the accident.

she was like, thank you sir.

Keegan, you did the right thing! Getting his plate # was important! The guy that got hit I KNOW appreciates it. I don't understand why people have to be such as**s when they get behind the wheel. I agree that he was running from more than JUST the accident.

Thanks Wayne... Yah, his name was Paul, and he was EXTREMELY excited when I came back with the number. He thought maybe I wouldn't get it, and that I would have just not come back because of it...

Anyways, I know this totally flamed his post, and I'm sorry. =( however, when I get the low-down on the jerk that did the hit, I'll update =)

And now that I see that 5.3's make 255 at the wheels in stock form, I can easily see 275... =)

Best thing is, the hit and runner will get to see the inside of a jail cell
You really think so? I thought that was just "a court date" type of thing?

I dunno, but I had to do about 90 to catch the bastard, cause he had one hell of a head start on me... though I don't usually condone speeding, it was WELL worth it to get his license number =)
Around here, a hit and run equals automatic jail time.

Not sure about the guy you're talking about. But, in general, I find it hilarious how guys in visually customized cars willtake offfrom the scene of an accident they just caused. It's like, "Buddy, you're driving a blue dodge with dragon grafix on the sides. Not gonna be too hard to figure out who you are."

Great job in getting the turd's licence plate number! You win honorary MCF member of the week!

well, I'm gonna swing by the guy's house (the one that was hit) and see what he has to say, hopefully sometime this week.. he lives like, 4 blocks away from me... so I was happy to help out a neighbor. And yes Taz, you're right. it was a white Pontiac Grand Prix SE with jet black tint, huge tail pipes, and lots of graphics on the windows.

I'll keep you updated =)

Actually a stock 2007 SS puts out between 242 and 249 because of the 20%-18% drivetrain loss, not 255. And no I'm not bragging I just wanted to let you guys know that with a highflow cat, magnaflow exhaust with res delete and CAI with a good HP tune will give you around 275 HP and 295 Torque.

Wait a min, I thought that the 5.3 has 303 HP and 327 torque. What is everyone talking about 255 hp???? Is everyone talking about the V6 model?

That is 303hp and 323 lbs-tq at the Fly wheel or Engine HP and Tq
And 249 HP at the wheels.
As power is transfered through the Drive Train components some is lost byt the time it gets to the wheels.
Dynometers mesure HP at the wheels. There are engine dynos as well that messure the HP at the Fly wheel.
Usually manufacturers use the Engine Dyno numbers.
