All told, with mods, and cost of car, 25000 dollars. and I'm not bragging, but 275 is alot for no headers, that's all I'm trying to say.

Not fully loaded, but less than what you have into yours, with the mods I've done so far.... about 24 for me.

Just saw an ad today for a supercharger for the 5.3, supposed to add 135 whp. I forgot to bring the ad with me to work, but it was in the new car and driver. Going to do some research on that and tranny upgrades.

Just curious, why do you think you need headers to increase horsepower? Many 4 and 6 cylinder cars make over 300 whp without headers.

To be fair, when I say not fully loaded, the only things I didn't get were the shiny wheels and the "upgraded stereo". New wheels and tunes to come, though.

You're right, but then you reach what we like to call a "barrier" and you can't go any faster without increasing the size of the exhaust manifolds (i.e. headers)

Oh, and in other news, I witnessed a hit and run tonight, and guess who was the do-gooder civilian to chase after the rotten bastard that fled the scene to get his license number?

It was a grand prix se that hit a grand prix gt and it was a monte carlo ss s/c that took off after the grand prix se. No one was hurt, but the guys steering wheel and passenger air bags went off.

Glad to hear that. I HATE people who try to pull stuff like that. Best thing is, the hit and runner will get to see the inside of a jail cell tonight.

You sir, are my hero for the day.

You really think so? I thought that was just "a court date" type of thing?

I dunno, but I had to do about 90 to catch the bastard, cause he had one hell of a head start on me... though I don't usually condone speeding, it was WELL worth it to get his license number =)
