Do you think I got a good/bad/okay deal?
Well, I recently purchased a 2001 Monte Carlo Super Sport/ No rust/garaged/stock. The car is all black on black. It has no major mechanical/cosmetic flaws, but it could use a good buff. The car is @ 120k miles, but I decided to buy it anyways (considering my friend has the same engine with 230k on it, and it runs fine). Everything checked out with the mechanic I took it to, after having looked at it myself. The only thing that needed changed was a fitting on the bottom of the transmission that was rubber. The car itself has new tires, brakes, and rotors. All options available were included down to the headsup display/heated mirrors/dual heated leather seats/dual power seats/blah blah blah/sunroof. The leather is in good condition. The only qualm I have with the car is the clunking upon turning, but I had that checked out and it's a problem they've had from the factory.
Everything works, transmission/engine is in good shape, only one LED is out on the passenger side dual climate control.
I ended up paying $3,850 USD, taxes included, the guy was originally asking 4500 for it before taxes.
So, uh, do you think I got off with a good deal/an okay deal/or a bad deal?
I really don't think I care too much, even if it was a bad deal, considering that I pretty much fell in love with the car on the first two test drives though. Along with what I've heard as far as the potential the 3.8l has in being built up and the market that's out there for it. Just figured I'd ask some more knowledgeable people their opinion. Thanks

Hey thanks for the thoughts guys. I'm glad to hear that I DID in fact get a good deal. I'm not sure what it would normally go for, but sometimes a good deal just seems too good I dunno. I'm so used to seeing what dealers are charging for these cars, and have always wanted one. I will post photos and update my profile tomorrow since I have to let the batteries charge overnight for my camera.

OOOOkay. I'm a noob. I just googled heads-up display. The guy had that listed on his add, and I just kind of adopted it without knowing what the meaning was. It definitely does not have a headsup display, but that would be sweet. It does however, have a display that I move my head up to see... that has the gas mileage and distance I can travel on remaining fuel, that sort of thing. Sorry about that. Coming from a Malibu with no options (besides cruise) and a firebird (strictly summer) with minimal options this is great. It's like my 5.7l formula had a baby with my 3.1l malibu and somehow became an awesome two door daily commuter on steroids.
Haha, pics soon... After I replace the smashed front window and the whole front end, just kidding.
