Do You Know About The Monte Carlo That Never Happened?
The 466 HP 458 lb-ft of torque makes you wish it had, but it never did. I had found this a while a go on motortrend, and was going to post it but forgot, I found it again on hotrod..

Yes, Brendan, it's been posted several times on the MCF..
I think Member Mr Monte, posted it a few months ago & I posted it several years ago.
I'm sure our new member's will enjoy reading about it.
It is a Super Monte 4-Sure + it may give member's some incentive to try it ? Maybe `You ? lol

I never saw this story! I'll have to read it later, but I saw some of the pics. A RWD V8 Monte in a 5th gen!! If you look at the strut towers, I think they look F-bodish.
Wow, if GM would have stuck with that, would be interesting to see if the Monte would have STAYED RWD! Would the W-body line not have happened???
Ah, what if's!!

Yeah that V8 powered 95 is sweet. Great stance with the wider fenders. I can't remember but I think that car might have been at one of the Monte Carlo Conventions back in the late 90's. I swear I saw it in person at one of them but could be thinking of... another Monte I guess, haha.
That LS1 powered Impala makes me have thoughts. That would be awesome if the engine cover on the 5.3L LS4 was a tandem cover configuration like on GM's other LS Series engines. The two cover setup looks way better.

i know that monte has had a lot of time and a lot of monye thrown at it to get it right and done by the dream team. but the things we wish we could do to our monte's. when i have seen the 6th gen at a dealer when they first did the body the sales person said it is the first gen that went to rwd. i reached in poped the hood and asked why did you say it is rwd? wish it was to be honest the ss rwd and the ls-lt fwd. i would think the sales would be higher

You should be able to put the double ones on, its a LS motor so most of it is the same as others
