If you have an active Onstar subscription then it is automatically done as a service.
So ONstar is not only free on a new car but free on a used car??? The LTZ will be 2 years old in May according to CarFax.

How long have you had the car. Maybe the dealership actived it for you.
Can you dail or receive phone calls in the car?

I once pressed the red button by accident, but I've never tried the phone.

So...what happened? I don't dare touch any of those buttons. Havent read up on it, and don't plan on it anytime soon. I'm not even sure if the onstar is active in my car or not.

Well on 06-07 you can tell Onstar is active if the little green light to the left of the buttons is illuminated. And perhaps the dealer did activate it for you or the previous owner had it activated. From what I understand it's fully transferable so that may have happened.

Yeah. OnStar just sent a signal to turn the clock ahead 1 hour.

Little green light to the left of the button....
I dont know about your LTZ but the little green light to the left is for the auto dimming review mirror. If you press the button all the way to the left the green light will go off. When that is off you have a normal review mirror.

True and on a vehicle without a rear dimming mirror then there is a little green lite to the left of the Onstar buttons. If this light is illuminated then your Onstar is active. If it's out it is not.

FYI I'm talking about 06-07 Montes, don't know about earlier models.
