Detailed My 87 SS today, Pics inside!
I did a comlete detail on my monte today, thought id share with everyone the results. Should have taken before pictures but ehh, who wants to show off a dirty car?
I steam cleaned the carpets, the seats, finally installed black carpet in the trunk, installed the subwoofers, got full kenwood speakers fronts and backs, finished wiring the head unit, and then cleaned the outside, no wax, cleaned the tires and rims, washed underneath to get rid of any if any salt. I cleaned most of the engine bay. I uploaded the pictures to photobucket so i dont clutter the forum. here you go guys.

if you're talking about the first one, that before i even installed the radio and had all the wires out. the second picture that is a pair of wires that goes to the rear left and the front right speakers which are blown and i have to replace. all my speakers are going to be replaced this week with kenwoods i ordered so i hooked up the 2 working ones to the head unit and left the blown ones unhooked from the head unit so their cables are just down there. once the new speakers show up, fronts and backs, im going to hook them up, bye bye visible wires. I think i did a good job hiding the power, remote, and rca cables for the subs and amp in the back. did you get to take a look at the subs? thats one of my new favorite parts of the car lol im glad i have carpet back there now. Also, theres a few surface rust spots under neath the car, not on the frame just a few VERY surface spots. Once my garage is emptied out next week im going to have the monte up on stands, im going to wire brush the entire bottom of the vehicle and use undercoat on it to prevent any rust. quite the eye for detail you got there! haha

Yeah, I was talking about the first one. I understand about waiting for parts. Those subs look nice. I am a huge fan of Stillwater Design (Kicker). Are those 12's? In a ported box, I bet those SLAM!

Yes they are 12's ina ported. They RMS at 750 a piece whiche means ill need two amps pumping 750 rms a piece, which i am not looking to buy right now haha. I have one kenwood 1200.2 watts. 600 rms a channel and they are obnoxious loud, ear drums litraly HURT when they hit hard, i have the gain half way now, and i have the sub at 0 (1/2 way between -10 and +10) and its just perfect, still feels like someone's punching my back at volume 20 (out of 60) so im sticking to this. The head unit pumps 65 x 4 so i dont need a component amp for the speakers I'm running, the speakers are kenwood kfc15 i believe coming in the mail, they handle 160 watts which is plenty. yeah and the first picture is basically before the radio picture and the second is after the install and only 2 cables are shwoing. also thanks for the comment 77gp
