Custom work
hey i'm pretty new to the forums, but I own a 2005 monte carlo 3400 which is pretty close to stock except minor changes. I'm going to school for street rod right now and i have the opportunity to do anything to my car as long as it includes some metal work or bodywork. Basically just seeing if there is anything somebody wanted to see done on a monte, whether it's changing the back end, diff style top, or something along those means. let me know

RE: Custom work
Your thinking is in the wrong direction if your going to school for Street Rods. I'd like to see you swap out that 3400 for an LS1 RWD setup...
That, I am sure will require a great deal of metal work...

RE: Custom work
Well actually i would swap the engine and change the setup but this class is strictly for bodywork. We get to fabricate our own pieces from sheet metal, chopping chops, custom painting and stuff like that. I Like the idea about swapping in the ls1 but that's going to be something to think about in a couple months when i'm done with this class. Any speciifc parts of the car that you would like to see styled differently? I think maybe making the front and back more aggressive just trying to figure out what styling i want to do with it.

Here is a custom hood, front fascia, and molded body kit. That should keep you busy for a while!!! I'm still working on the back side, I'll post pics as soon as it is done.
