Amy, I am thinking about getting a bra for long distance travel. I have several chips already in this new paint job on the hood.

oh i forgot i back into one of them log sand box shape flower pot type. scrape the passenger side high sport rear bumper lip. one time i was in the garage trying to figured out why the garage door doesn't work. i pulled the car half way out and put in park. got out of the car and started messing with the opener and i accidently pulled on the cord next to the opener motor. the garage door dropped and slammed on top of the windshield right above the wiper arm. freaked me out cuz i thought it broked the windshield. lucky i pulled out the car enuff and the door only hit on the windshield and not the hood. my silver went through a lot of pain too but lucky only few bumps and bruises.

2k sounds like someones bein greedy, one of the most prestigous shops in ym area quoted me at 1900 to paint my whole monte jet black, and 1400 if i removed the mirrors and lights and emblems before i took it to them...

I personally don't think 2K sounds THAT bad. Maybe 1500 would sound a little bit more reasonable, but 2K seems to be right around the correct price. After all, he is not just painting, he is fixing some dents in the door too, right? Body work is not cheap, period!

Labor rate is expensive, and a complete car nice quality paint job should run you 5k total if done the right way.
